Short In Six: Short Story Challenge

Hello my lovelies I am proud to announce that Louisa Bacio and I have teamed up to do a short story challenge!  Wanna know more…look below!

We understand that sometimes you need a little something on the side. Or sometimes, it may take you a little longer to finish. Join Louisa Bacio and Nikki Prince in the Short in Six, Short Story Challenge.

That’s a short story in six months, under guidance, with a support group, check-in dates, critique groups and prizes!

Down & Dirty

When: April 2 through September 30, 2014
Where: Yahoo and FB Groups
Cost: $10 to go toward prizes & completion giveaways*
How many: Minimum 10
Maximum: 25
Length: 5K to 20K

Don’t think of this challenge as an average workshop. If needed, we’ll throw out prompts, and will encourage writing sprints.

At the beginning of the workshop, each contributor will focus on a story, genre and potential publisher in a database. On a monthly basis, we’ll check in with word count, and submission progress. (Ideally, if the participant has a blog, we also can feature a blog-hop of the progress)

Note: Only serious sign-ups, please. We’d like a high completion and success rate. That means, we’d rather you not lurk.

* Prize amount(s) dependent upon # of contributors

Check-in dates: End of the month, and close of workshop

April 30, May 31, June 30, July 31, August 31, September 30
