Pure Adrenaline

I’m so excited to say that my short story Pure Adrenaline is now out and available.  I had so much fun writing this story and being able to share it with you all.

The story actually came about when I saw a call in early 2012 for short story submissions from a well known publisher of GLBT erotic romances.  I turned it in but it wasn’t accepted.  Now some would ask why I didn’t trash the story.  Because as the one thing I’ve learned is you never get rid of anything you write because you can always use it some where else or make it better. I also believed that Julian and Pierce’s story should be told.  So, when I had to work on a story for my fiction writing class I chose PA to work on.  I loved the story and I wanted it to see the light of day.

I worked hard on it and expanded it from it’s original 3000 words to over 4000 for the class.  It did well in the class and once I was finished with the class I knew that I needed to add at least 3000 more to it if I wanted to get it published with Boroughs Publishing Group.

When I got the acceptance letter I was over the moon.  What this has taught me is of course nPure Adrenalineever give up, hone the story and that sometimes not getting an acceptance is the best.  It allowed me to honor Julian and Pierce’s love.

I hope you enjoy their story as much as I enjoyed writing it.  Remember always that “Love is Love.”

Blurb:

We all have fears, but sometimes, as Julian Northridge and Pierce Wilde are about to learn, all it takes to affirm true love and an explosive physical connection is…pure adrenaline.

Excerpt:

He pulled up to their house and smiled. Pierce was home, his car still in the driveway. All Julian could think about as he sped up the walkway was that his man was either still in bed or in the shower. He could picture Pierce now. His blond hair plastered to his head, bright green eyes closed as he scrubbed his body with soap, and that thick cock of his hard from his morning wood. Truly, there never was a time that Pierce didn’t have morning wood. Both thoughts made Julian’s cock twitch with delight and anticipation. He hoped that Pierce wasn’t still too angry to show affection, that he would reject Julian’s touch.

Life was too short; he needed to make up with his man, and he would.

He entered the small house and grinned. He could hear the shower going. Perfect, he’d take off his clothes, get inside the shower with the man he loved, and have a quickie or two. Fuck that. He was going to make love to that man like nobody’s business.

Postcard Fiction-The Right Shade of Love

According to Wikipedia postcard fiction falls under the term micro fiction.  Micro fiction as you can guess has many terms for it such as micro narrative, short story, short short story, sudden fiction, postcard fiction, micro fiction, micro-story and short short.

Well in one of my classes at the beginning of this year we were challenged to write a postcard fiction story no more than 250 words.  I wanted to share with you my story.  I hope you enjoy it and comment and let me know if you liked this or not.  It is a sweet piece.  I do plan to continue to have fun with stories like this.

“Love is Love”

The Right Shade of Love

My God, we’d finally done it. We’d gotten past the negative comments of those saying that our love would never last and now here I stood next to my man as his Mrs. I was now Mrs. David Magee. If you’d have asked me a year or two ago would I have thought this would happen, I’d have said no. You see our love was never supposed to be. I come from what some consider the wrong side of the tracks and the wrong shade of skin. It didn’t matter to either one of us. We loved whom we loved. Besides we all bleed red don’t we? Our love happened and we embraced it fully. Today was a representation of our forever.

We continued to stare into each other’s eyes as if both of us thought the other would disappear if we blinked. When both our eyes started to burn and we couldn’t help but blink we did so together.

He leaned in close and kissed my lips again right, there in front of God and country and I held on for dear life, trying to stifle the moan that escaped at his wonderful touch.

He chuckled softly, “Save that for tonight.”

“Nope, I’m saving it for when we get inside the limo.”

He laughed out loud. “Race you there!”

“You’re on!” Grabbing my train, I ran down the aisle with his hand in mine with cheers from the crowd fluttering down as flowers paved the way to our forever.
