Sin’s Flower by Carlene Love Flores
Hello Miss Nikki Prince J Thank you so much for having me at your web home. I’d like to say hi to all your readers– HI everyone! You might be able to tell I’m slightly excited that book 2 in the Sin Pointe Novel series is out! When I wrote the first book, Sidewalk Flower, I thought that would be the one and only. But it didn’t take long to realize I’d left the Sin Pointe boys hanging and they needed love and redemption just as much as their good friends, Trista and Lucky. So I hope the readers enjoy Jaxon and Lily’s story. Here’s a sneak peek. Love stories rock! xoxo
Sin’s Flower Blurb:
When Jaxon James, a sexy rock star and struggling single-father, is invited to ditch California and spend Christmas in Tennessee with his estranged family, he hesitantly accepts for his young daughter’s sake. But his attraction to his best friend’s baby sister, Lily Elstone, threatens to unravel the bonds he’s made for his daughter. The honorable thing to do would be to give up Lily. But his instincts are telling him she’s exactly the one who could bring light to his life and the missing fire to his bed. Unfortunately, Lily’s too sweet for his world. He fears his rock and roll life style will taint her. How far are Jaxon and Lily willing to go to find what’s missing at home?
Sin’s Flower Excerpt:
Jaxon watched Lily’s hands sinking down into the sand from behind as hesitancy chopped up his steps. Years of ending up in dire situations had made him a decisive man when he needed to be. He was making one of those executive decisions right now. It didn’t matter why she’d come. And he was close to dismissing his reluctance over whose baby sister she was. Not when she wore that swishing angelic lavender top that covered her from neck to shoulder to fingertip, driving him insane with curiosity. God, and that flaming hair which had gone from neon just yesterday to a flattering shade of cinnamon temptation tonight. His grip tightened around the folding chairs he’d gone to fetch. Purposefully, he slowed down.
Then stopped.
Wanting her was one thing, but hurting this young woman was not okay.
Standing back, he took another couple minutes to contemplate what could happen tonight. What he could control and make happen.
He knew they should talk. He just hoped she didn’t mind how close he intended on being to her while that happened. His grip loosened and one of the folding lounge chairs fell to the sand. There would be plenty of room for the both of them on the one. He walked until he made it back to her side and unfolded the chair to its full length.
“Uh, hi,” she said shyly, her brow furrowing in concentration.
“Hey.” He sat down and held his arms out to assist her. “Sit with me?” He hadn’t given her much of a choice and caught her eye scanning the sandy trail where he’d come from. “Yeah, I figured we didn’t need that one.”
“Oh, okay. Wait, just so we’re clear here. You want me to sit, where exactly?”
God, she would kill him tonight. That amount of cute couldn’t be faked. “Here, with me.” Her eyes widened in disbelief so he scooted until he was flush with the back of the nylon chair and then opened his legs, letting one straddle each side. “There’s room.”
“You’re crazy,” she said shaking her head.
He let out a faked huff. His quick decision had been too fast for her and she wouldn’t believe this was his way of comforting her. “I’ll go fetch the other chair.”
She gouged her hand into her hip. “Wait. It’s just…I really don’t think I’m gonna fit.”
A hurricane couldn’t have swayed her decision to stay put. But she eventually bent her knees, bracing herself with strong hands, and lowered herself until her squeezable bottom met the chair. Because he wanted her closer, he took the liberty of placing his hands at each side of her waist and scooted her back until she was flush with his chest and his lap.
On second thought, that was way too close.
Someone would kill him for the throbbing going on so close to their little sister. He wiggled an inch of space between Lily and his now obvious and straining erection. The last thing he wanted to do was leave her thinking he was incapable of a conversation without sex ending up front and center. He had amazing amounts of control in that department. It came along with all the years he’d practiced on the road. Tonight, plainly put, he just wanted to be close to someone, to Lily. And this was the way he knew how to do that.
“So what did you want to talk about?” he asked.
“I, I don’t know.” It sounded like nerves had her.
They didn’t have to start with words. Fuck him for his appetite but he could say more by doing this anyway.
Hey you, horny fucker. This is the part where you pat her on the head, say you’re sorry, and send her back to her big sister. This is not the time for indulging. Pack it up, Jaxon.
Yeah, no questions about it. That’s what he should do.

Meet Seana Tramonto–From Sunset Heat by C.R. Moss
Character: Seana Tramonto From: ‘Sunset Heat’ By: C.R. Moss
1. Who is the most interesting secondary character you’ve met and why?
My cousin Ivy’s roommate. His name is Kiran. He’s an acrobat and dancer for shows on the Las Vegas strip. He’s bi, too, and loves my cousin and the new guy he’s met. Kiran’s one of the nicest men you’ll ever meet. Witty as well and a hoot to hang out with.2. Why did you choose your current profession?
In high school I joined the drama club and participated in the productions we put on. Then in college, I continued performing in the theater and found I really loved living life through characters, so I made acting my career. I like being someone different on stage, even if it’s only for an hour or so at a time. Hearing the applause, feeling valued.3. How long did it take you to explain your predicament to the author?
It took a while. Ivy hemmed and hawed about having her story done first and then decided to drag her feet with it. I couldn’t tell mine until she was done though because of what happened to me. And, sorry, I can’t say what happened cause that’d spoil things. 😉4. Who is your favorite relative and why?
Heather. She’s another cousin of mine. For some time there, I wanted to strangle her for what she did. But if she hadn’t gone through the trouble, I wouldn’t be where I am now. And, yeah, can’t share the details cause I don’t want to ruin the story for you.5. What makes you happiest?
Acting. Being with my man. Hanging with friends and family. 🙂
The Sunset ladies are back, and this time it’s Seana’s turn. She’s heading up to a resort on Mount Charleston with cousin and friend to participate in a 1NightStand date her other cousin set her up on. Get ready to feel the heat…
~ Blurb for Sunset Heat – a 1NightStand story from Decadent Publishing ~
(Book Content: Contemporary, Erotic, Chick Lit, Romance)
Can one night transform a woman’s life?Seana Tramonto feels doomed when it comes to relationships. When she’s set up through the 1Night Stand service, she’s apprehensive at best. Her concern turns to ire when her match turns out to be a man who broke her heart years ago. Old wounds are slow to heal no matter how sexy the man asking for forgiveness.
Zachary Russo, a Las Vegas policeman, is talked into doing a 1NS date. When he learns it’s with his high school tutor and friend, the girl he stood up before the Homecoming dance, he’s determined to make it up to her. But seeing her again opens his eyes to the sexy woman she’s become. Can he prove he’s grown up or will circumstance beyond his control kill their second chance?
~ Excerpt ~
“I had it bad for you.”
“So, what’s your wish now?”
If she leaned toward him, turned just enough, maybe he’d kiss her. Did she have the nerve? What would he think of her advance?
“Seana?”
She closed her eyes, relishing the silky way he spoke her name. “Hmm?”
“Your wish. You’re going to enter the drawing the charity is having, right?”“I can’t say or it won’t come true,” she murmured. Just move your face toward his. Do it! Though her inner diva cheered her on, she couldn’t.
“A superstition for shooting stars and birthday candles.”
“So? I don’t want to take chances.” Yes you do, her inner cheerleader chided.
He brushed his cheek against hers. Warm breath caressed her ear. Restless throbs of desire pulsed in her veins. Sexual excitement curled in her womb. It’d been quite some time since feeling those particular sensations. Who’d I do it with last? Oh, the guy in the off-Broadway showing of West Side Story. Antonio something or other. She’d almost told him she loved him, but his ex-girlfriend came back into the picture, which snipped her out of it.Could Zach be her one? Even after all this time and despite their difficulties? Back when she’d helped him in high school, she’d wanted him and would have given him her all. She didn’t feel any different now. Turning her face toward his finally, she prepared for the first of what she hoped would be many kisses. None came. He wasn’t as close as she thought. Seana stared into his eyes, becoming lost in their depths.
“Seana?”
“Yes?” She breathed in his spicy, clean scent, wanting to nibble on the muscle stretching from his neck into the top of his white dress shirt.
“Tell me more about the tutoring room.”
“Why? Interested in playing out my fantasy?”
Zach rubbed her knee. His touch seared her skin under her black sequined dress. “But we’re not in a school. There are no classrooms to use.”
The scenario she’d envisioned as a young adult awaited her next move. If there’s ever a time to be bold and spontaneous, it’s now. Quit stalling and take the leap. Feeling naughty and way too frisky to miss the opportunity, she drew circles on his leg with her fingertip. “We can improvise by going up to your room or mine and pretending we’re in a classroom.”
Seconds clicked by. Zach didn’t say a word. Wasn’t he interested? Her palms became clammy. I can’t be rejected again.

A little Q&A about The Bond by Shyla Colt and Nikki Prince
I’m so very excited to announce that the collaboration between myself and Shyla Colt is out and now available. This book was so fun to write. I had such a great partner in Shyla. Shyla and I wanted to do something fun so we interviewed each other and asked three questions each, take a look!
Nikki: What is your inspiration when you’re writing?
Shyla: I’m inspired by my characters. Their struggles, triumphs, joys, and pains become my own. Sometimes it’s therapeutic, and I find myself unearthing skeletons, and bringing them to the light. It’s my ultimate goal that every piece I write is better than the one before, and can benefit the reader. Wither it be a break from their reality, kinship, or a deep connection.
Nikki: The book The Bond, how easy was it to write?Shyla: I think it was easier to write with a friend. You’re bouncing concepts of one another, having a good time, and getting instant, honest feedback.
Nikki: What do you do in your downtime if you have it?Shyla: Sleep? * laughs. Read, watch movies, and craft.
Now on to my questions from Shyla!
Shyla: The main characters are Puma’s. What made you pick that particular animal?
Nikki: If I remember correctly we both wanted to do something different instead of the normal shifters that most people do as in the werewolves. So then we thought long and hard what would be a great cat to have for the story and Rafe and Sanura both fit Puma for us. This was such a wonderful story to write and to do it with such a great friend and fantastic author was an honor.
Shyla: What book are you reading now?
Nikki: I actually just finished reading a short story called Haley’s Man by Sara Daniel. Not currently reading anything, busy writing away and working the day job.
Shyla: What paranormal creatures would you like to write about in the future?
Nikki: I want to write dragon shifters, avian shifters of some sort…really everything is wide open. I love the paranormal realm. Everything at this point is wide open and I like that. I love that there is so much out there to write and dream about.
So now we want to share our story with you. Check out our blurb, our sexy cover art and an excerpt!
Sanura Bast is willing to risk everything to keep her Pride of Pumas safe from Logan’s scheme to sell their land off to the highest bidder, including masquerading as his fiancée. After almost a year playing a role that disgusts her, she gets the intangible proof she’s been looking for. Desperate to end the charade, she turns to her ally, Rafael.
Banished for losing his control with a human, Rafael’s been looking for a way back to his Pride and to Sanura ever since. The woman set his blood on fire before she was old enough to accept what he wanted from her. Together they plot to stop Logan before he becomes chief, and now she has the proof they need to save her Pride. With that goal in sight, Rafael is ready to take what’s always been his and claim Sanura as his own.Excerpt:
Sanura studied herself in the mirror, immediately recognizing the hunger that lurked in the dilated depths of her hazel eyes. She freed her hair from its elastic prison, pleased by the golden highlights brought out in the auburn tresses that fell to her shoulders. A lady wanted to look good for her gentleman, no matter what the circumstances. Blood filled her face. Desire stirred once more at the thought of an able-bodied male. There was no use denying she’d reached the pinnacle of her cycle.
The circumstances that had brought her to this point were daunting, but the meeting she’d set up for the evening would hopefully end all that. It angered her that the archaic tradition of the Pride choosing mates was still in place. If she hadn’t been engaged they would’ve forced her to bond with him. There was a big difference between mating and bonding, sort of like comparing fucking to marriage.
If only she could solve all of this by riding out her cycle, literally if she had anything to say about it, and go back to her Pride a single woman once more in control of her destiny. A soft groan escaped parted lips as her need increased. The intense arousal moved through her body, as if to mock her train of thought.
Bracing her weight against the sink, she gripped the edge of the counter as she fought to tamp down an orgasm. She’d waited as late as she could to get to the hotel, because she was afraid of being trailed. Now the fire that burned inside her needed to be extinguished. Her nipples peaked beneath the comfy black track suit, and her panties grew damp from the abundance of cream she produced. A small moan escaped, and she willed him to arrive and soon.
This was what the Pride’s shaman had warned her about. Unlike the other females in her Pride, her breeding cycle was very unique. As the daughter of their Chief, she was the only alpha female in her Pride. When her cycle came Sanura had to mate with an alpha male to end her heat. This was fine, until the Pride had decided it was time for her to bond and determine the next in line for Chief. Bonding for her people was different from most. For them it was a choice, not a biological response. The sharing of souls was a deeply spiritual experience she refused to have soiled by Pride politics. Her father would be upset. But he loved her. Eventually he’d get over the fact that she’d thwarted his plans to choose her path for her. Especially, when he found out about all of Logan’s lies.
Another wave of desire threatened to buckle her knees, shattering her thought process. I can’t even be out in public like this. Thank God, she was in her room right now. Sanura attempted to redirect her thoughts and failed, biting back a scream as her body shuddered and the wave began to build once more.
Her gaze was drawn to the bed where a night of passion would provide her with freedom she craved. No one else seemed to understand her urgency. Her sensitive nipples rubbed against the fabric of her bra. She gasped, and she sprang into action. Kicking off the black sneakers and socks, she slipped out of the track pants and white tank top, leaving the pieces where they fell. She had to come, even if it was by her own hand. The door opened with a soft click, and her breathing quickened. He was here, moving toward the bathroom by the sound of it. Fuck! There’s no time to get dressed again.
His scent ensnared her, musk and forest pines blended, throwing her heat into overdrive as it tickled her nostrils. Her gaze was drawn to the doorway like a magnet, and she watched him approach, his broad body shrouded in shadows. Anticipation ran rampant. He was about six two with long silky black hair, copper-toned skin, and eyes that mirrored a dark abyss. Rafael looked like his Native American ancestors. An unusual blend of Latin and Native American the man turned heads wherever he went. As he entered the bathroom he held up his hand to show her a red blindfold.
“What’s that for?” she whispered.
“For you, of course. I can see that you almost started the party without me.”
“No, you need to go back into the room. Let me dress so we can talk.”
“We’re not going anywhere until I claim you as I should’ve a long time ago.”
He moved forward, and she could see the intent in his eyes, the blindfold still dangling from his fingers.
“Rafael.”
“No, no excuses. I’m going to show you what it’s been like to wait.”
Pleased she offered him her back, turning away from the mirror. He pressed his body against her. The feel of cloth covering her eyes was so sensual it made her shudder. The red cloth stole away her vision, and her heart thudded in her chest. Her ears twitched, and her nostrils flared as her other senses heightened.
His body was firm and tight beneath his layer of clothing. The bulge in his pants nudged her back, making her wonder if he’d planned this all along. His teeth grazed her neck, and all thoughts fled. A low mewl of pleasure released from her throat. She reveled in the relief from the burning heat that swamped her body.

Bonded Hearts by Tamsin Baker
Jackson came back to consciousness with his head in Eric’s lap. The two men were growling at each other in a foreign language Jackson didn’t understand.
What had happened? Had he really passed out from the pleasure? How embarrassing.
“Jackson, are you all right?”
Jackson nodded and began to sit up. Two pairs of hands gently helped him up to a sitting position.
“What happened?” he asked, a little concerned.
Malcolm looked wounded for a moment then straightened.
“I bit you. I’m sorry.”
Jackson tried to be angry. Really and truly he tried. But all he could do was remember the pure pleasure of feeling Malcolm’s fangs sinking into his flesh.
He opened his mouth to reassure the vampire that he hadn’t indeed hurt him, but stopped himself. These two men had already taken something from him. His ignorant bliss that he could truly be satisfied with a woman.
He didn’t need to give them any more leverage on him. If he stopped them biting him, perhaps that would lessen their control on him?
“I forgive you, of course, Malcolm, but please don’t do it again.”
The two men looked at each other with looks of pure horror, and guilt hit Jackson’s belly hard.
“Never?”
Jackson clenched his teeth against the need to undo what he had just done so merely nodded. He needed a small measure of control over this situation.
Malcolm smiled at him.
“That’s all right, Jackson. After we turn you, which will be soon, we won’t be able to feed from you, so it won’t matter.”
Shock crashed through Jackson.
“What?” He staggered to his feet, unable to believe what they had just said. They weren’t turning him into anything!
The two beautiful men both flew to their feet and moved close to him. He was overwhelmed and crowded, a feeling he neither liked nor was accustomed to.
Jackson held up his hands and pushed one against each of the vampires’ chest. The warmth burnt him, and his cheeks flamed with wanting them.
“Would you two just back off? I need to ask questions, and you being so close is not helping.”
They both grinned like he had given them the biggest compliment in the world. Perhaps he had.
“I’m sure you have lots of questions, Jackson, but we need to relieve our lust. Would you come home with us?”
Jackson swallowed. His body was throbbing with awareness. Despite his unnatural urges he had never actually thought he would be with one man, let alone two. It was wrong to want such a thing.
Eric continued. “If you aren’t ready to come to bed with us, then we can leave you and come back to see you tomorrow night.”
Pure and hot jealousy pumped through Jackson at the thought. These two beautiful vampires were going home to touch each other. Lick and fuck each other.
He had never been so angry at himself before. He wanted to go with them.
Eric stepped closer, taking a deep inhalation through his nose, and his eyebrows flew up in surprise. Could Eric tell how much he wanted them?
“If we promise not to bite you, would you like to come home with us? Join us? No one will ever know, Jackson.”
Jackson’s cock and nipples tingled at the thought. Tonight was the very first time he had been sexually satisfied in his whole life. What would it be like to bed the two men?
“I have never…” Jackson stopped, unable to finish his sentence. His face flushed red.
Malcolm reached out and picked up his hand, entwining their fingers in an intimate way. Heat travelled up Jackson’s arm and made him shiver.
“You don’t have to do anything you don’t want, Jackson. Just watch if you like. We want you but would never force anything on you.”
Jackson shuddered, the raw sexuality and need evident in both vampires.
“I would like to come with you … yes.”

Release Me by Iyana Jenna
Thank you very much, Nikki, for having me today to talk about my Romance on the Go book, Release Me. It came out on June 28 from Evernight Publishing.
Before I go on with the book, I’d like to talk a bit about how to handle negative criticism. To me negative criticism is just the same with the positive one. I will listen and pay attention to both of them because they are all important. For negative criticism, I will read carefully what those critics tell me and do something about it. If it’s something that I need to improve, I will gladly do it. But if it has nothing to do with my writing or my genre, then I’ll just forget it and move on. There are some things I learn from the writing business. One is that you can never please everyone. There are always people who are not satisfied with what you write or just not into it. Yet there is a silver lining with this condition. Not everybody will hate your book. Even if someone says your book is terrible and isn’t worth your money, there are always others who happen to like what you write. Because, yeah, people do like different kinds of books.
Blurb:
Taking a break from dealing with his father’s clients on legal matters, Nicholas Haynes went out to the sea on his yacht—only to find a man floating in the water. The man was still alive, much to Nicholas’s relief.
Gregory Phillips was a private investigator and his last job almost turned him into fish food if not for Nicholas. Little did he know that the main suspect in his case was one of Nicholas’ father’s clients. When Nicholas insisted on taking care of Gregory after the incident that almost killed him, can he trust Nicholas enough with his life?
Excerpt:
Stanley Haynes threw the newspaper, and it landed with a slap on Nicholas’s plate. The headlines blared at Nicholas as though his father had shouted at him.
Heir to US Banking Chain Wedded?
“You ever plan to tell us about this, Nicholas?”
Nicholas glanced briefly at his mother sitting across from him, but she kept stirring the cooling coffee in her cup. Nicholas could see a smile flicker in her eyes. He shrugged.
“Come on, Dad. You know it was impossible for me to talk about it before everything was done.”
“Are you saying you don’t trust me, or your mom—” Stanley threw a glance at his wife, and his eyes widened. “You knew about this?”
She threw her hands up.
“God, no, honey. I wouldn’t lie to you.”
“All right, all right.” Stanley took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. “Is it that Phillips guy?”
“Of course. Who else?” Nicholas grinned.
His mother went back to stirring her coffee. Her voice was calm when she asked, “When was it, Nicholas? How come both of us didn’t know anything about it?”
“A moment after Greg was released from the hospital.”
“Wow. That fast?”
Nicholas chuckled. “Yeah. Now you can’t accuse me of being a playboy anymore.”
“That’s good, dear.” His mother took his hand, and Nicholas squeezed hers gently. “So those journalists—they just found out the other day?”
“They’ve just seen this ring, that’s all.” Nicholas lifted his left hand and eyed the simple platinum band around his ring finger. Gregory had exactly the same kind of ring around his finger.
****
A month earlier
It was the lulling sounds of the waves and the gentle breeze above the vast, boundless ocean that Nicholas loved most. He could spend days, even weeks, drifting seemingly without any course and purpose on his boat, all by himself. After months dealing with his father’s clients about legal matters, he was always desperate for some time alone. Sometimes he just couldn’t understand why he had to work twice as hard as the other employees in his father’s bank when he was his only son. However, most of the time, he just couldn’t see it any other way. His father was not the type to want to spoil his family. Everyone had to earn what life had given to them. Nobody was allowed to simply ask and receive.
Today, though, he ended up not alone.

First I just want to say thank you to Nikki for having me by her blog again. It’s always a good time here.
When I was thinking about what to write I thought it would be fun to take you back to the beginning when the story first formed in my mind. If you create anything, be it crafts, poems, stories, videos, etcetera, you understand what the spark is. The moment something clicks in your brain and a new piece starts to take shape. I’m fascinated by angels. Maybe it’s the catholic upbringing? So many hours of religion class, mass, Sunday school…. It’s bound to make you wonder what if, right? One show that blew the roof off the mother that is my mind when it comes to the winged wonders was , Supernatural. If you follow me you know when it comes to Sam, Dean, Bobby and Cas, I am a mega fan girl. *beams proudly.
I was re-watching old episodes when I came across this scene. Scene here Long story short, an angel and a demon get a little hot and heavy. Something sprung to life in my brain and out grew ,Heavenleigh Spirit, daughter of an angel and a demon. With one foot in both worlds she’s spent her lifetime, shunned, ignored, and tempted to ‘join the darkside. Together with her mother, a fallen angel who goes by the name Layla, she’s carved out a niche at their bar, Purgatory. Purgatory is Switzerland. The neutral place all who mean no harm can convene. Their Motto? What happens in Purgatory , stays in Purgatory.
Heavenleigh doesn’t just run the bar with a neutral policy, she lives her life by it. She pretends not to see the demons, and for the most part they do the same. Protected by angels who see her as an abomination by ancient magic spells referred to as wards, she lays low. Then an angel falls from the sky right in front of her, and life as she knows it changes.
Blurb
Born to a fallen angel and a demon, Heavenleigh Spirit has never truly fit in. Shunned, tested, and ridiculed, she’s hardened her heart, building a wall around her none are allowed to scale. Carving a life for herself running the neutral bar, Purgatory, she caters to all things winged , clawed, and other. Provided they play nice. When she breaks her middle of the road stance to rescue a newly fallen angel she gets more than she bargained for.
The amnesic angel awakes in the bed of the only woman he’s ever lusted after with nothing more than the knowledge he was sent to protect her. Struggling to remember who he is, and why she’s in danger, he fully embraces the passion between them that blazes hotter than hell fire. When the truth about his mission comes out he must fight to convince her the love they share is real, and he’s not going anywhere.
In an ironic twist of fate the woman cast aside for a birthright she never asked for holds the keys to the worlds ruin or salvation.
Teaser
She was almost home when a brilliant flash of life lit up the sky. To anyone else it looked like a falling star, or meteor, but she knew better. The high pitched vibrations coming off the light in waves screamed grace. An angel was falling to earth. She should go home and mind her own business. The short lived battled ended when she veered to the left. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, she had to see it for myself! When she reached the ‘crash’ site smoke billowed from a wooded area. Parking, she leapt down from the jeep, and jogged into the forest, mindful of roots and fallen logs. She neared a giant crater in the center of a glen.
Dark shadows began to slither up from the bottom of the trees. The angel would be disoriented and weak. It wouldn’t stand a chance against an attack of this magnitude, especially with its powers depleted. She had an unspoken rule, she pretended she didn’t see the demons and they did the same to her. She couldn’t stand here and watch them massacre this poor soul. Imagine if this had been her mother all those years earlier. Resigned to the stupid act she was about to commit she dug deep down into her soul, tapping into the part of her she liked to leave alone.
Flames licked at her skin as she walked over to stand in front of the sunken earth. Her eyes burned and she knew they’d bleed, When she was at peak power they glowed. Holding up her hands she admired the flickering, orange fire before she spoke.
“It is under my protection.”
“Since when do you care mid-worlders?” one hissed. There were four to her one, all lesser lever bottom suckers. She could take them with her hellfire, but it’d cost her. Usage of her demon powers always did.
“Does it really matter?” The flames that surrounded her hands grew, lighting up the area like a bonfire. “Who wants to try me first?”
Whispering rose among them. Time to put on a show. She formed a ring of fire around her and the fallen angel she’d yet to check on.
“Cross it if you dare.”
“You win for now Spirit.” They slinked back into the night, blending seamlessly and she disconnected from her demon side. If she was lucky there wouldn’t be any ill side effects other than being overly bitchy tomorrow. Threat dispatched she spun and examined the hole. The body glowed with holy light, obscuring the details. She sank to her knees and peered over into the edge. Crazy, the smoke rolling out of this hole smells sweet.
“Hello?”
As the air cleared she made out a shape cloaked in white. The body twitched.
“I’m here to help you. Can you understand what I’m saying?” Falling was painful and traumatic. It wasn’t unusual for the angel to forget who they were and why they’d come to earth for a time until their body mended and acclimated to the new environment. The light began to fade, revealing features. She gasped. The angel was hot. A shock of chocolate-brown hair fell over his broad forehead leading into a strong jaw and a dimpled chin. His eyelids lifted revealing cobalt blue irises. She’d never had such naughty thoughts about an angel in her life! She flicked her tongue out to moisten her dry lips and did her best to tamp down her arousal. Her nipples were rock hard and her center throbbed.
“Heavenleigh Spirit. I came here for you.”
Her jaw dropped. “You what?”
His body went limp and his head fell back as he passed out.
“Son of a bitch.” Jumping beside him she hoisted him onto her shoulders and groaned. “Pal you’re a lot heavier than you look, and that’s saying a lot given who I am.” Gritting her teeth, she gave up on trying to drag him out and released her wings. A few flaps of the powerful black monstrosities and they were out of the hole. By the time she reached the car it was all she could do to place him in the passenger seat and buckle him in.
“Looks like I’m taking you home. Not exactly how I’d like, but I suppose beggars can’t be choosers.”
Rounding the car she slipped behind the wheel of her black jeep, peeled out and burned rubber. Chances were someone was looking for him, and it wouldn’t take long before the humans came with their cameras and news crews.

Oh Jesus.
If I had the sense God gave a gnat, I wouldn’t be approaching this dark house in an isolated section of Dublin, Ireland by myself…at night…armed with nothing but an iPad and a recorder. Not that a gun or sword—or hell, a freakin’ nuclear bomb—could protect me from what waits on the other side of this door. Let’s face it. If the creature I’m here to see is in a bad mood, I’m screwed.
And soooo not in a good way.
One more knock on the door. Just one more, than story or no story, I’m outta here…
Day-aamn.
A petite, slim female with long, dark hair stands motionless inside her open doorway. Eyes the color of brilliant lightning stare at me, unblinking. Measuring. As if determining which of my body parts she should cleave off first.
Sinéad, the cruxim—the Black Angel—who hunts in the territory of Dublin for vampires, the cruxim’s mortal, or rather immortal, enemies.
And the person—using that term veeery loosely—I’m here to interview.
Sinéad: (crossing her arms) Well aren’t you brave?
Me: Umm…excuse me?
Sinéad: Just showing up here… And assuming I won’t kill you on sight.
Me: Er, uh…wow. I think that’s against the rules…isn’t it? I’m human. You protect me, not slice ‘n dice me.
Sinéad: (shakes her head) You chroniclers. You totally miss the meaning behind “secret race”. And for the record, I don’t protect you. I hunt and execute vampires who just happen to find you a tasty snack. Let’s face it, if they decided to become vegetarians tomorrow, there would be a surplus in crops and you’d be on your own.
Niiiiice. I would respond, but as she shuts the door and turns around, the sight of the scabbard strapped across her back with the hilt of a silver gladius jutting out steals my voice. Nervously, I circle my throat with my hand and heave a silent sigh of relief. Whew. Still intact.
Me: (clearing my throat) Duncan MacLeod has a watcher, you have me.
Sinéad: (snorts) Turn off your fear, chronicler. The stink of it is offensive. I haven’t killed you…
“Yet” hangs in the room like a string of gaudy Christmas lights in mid-February. I swallow—hard—and try to summon a smile and hide my fear. Snicker. Riiiight. I’d forgotten the female is an empath as well as a fierce warr—
Me: (gasp) What the hell?
Sinéad: (whirling around in a crouch, her hand reaching behind her head) What? What?
Me: (horrified, pointing to the table in the living room) Potato chips. Cereal? What the hell? You drink vampire blood not, not…snacks! And what’s that on television? Television? Since when did you start watching—what is that? Twilight?
Sinéad: (slowly straightening and grumbling something totally unintelligible) Mimeumingow.
Me: What did you just say?
Sinéad: (whirling around with a snarl) I said, I’m human now. All I do is sit on the couch, eat and watch television. And cry at those damn Hallmark commercials.
Maybe my face says all the WTF racing through my head because she huffs out a breath and shoves a hand over her head. Another shock. On any other woman the gesture would be frustration, but cruxim don’t do frustration. They’re emotionless. They don’t do…anything.
Sinéad: Stop moving your mouth up and down like a fecking fish. Shite.
Fecking? Shite? Fu—Ohhh. The Irish accent through me off for a bit… Then the import of all she’s confessed rolls over me like that first wave of 4 am Black Friday shoppers at Walmart.
Me: Good. God. You’re, uh…I mean, what happened?
Sinéad: (sigh) A wounded hippogryph male. Blood. The only kind act I’ve ever done in my life and now I’m…this. Humans are right. No good deed goes unpunished. Now I’m a damn walking meat suit.
God. I feel so sorry for her. So sorry I don’t even take offense at being called a “walking meat suit”. I probably will be later, but not now.
Me: You should be out hunting. But obviously…
Sinéad: (viciously rubs the heels of her palms over her eyes. I can’t help but wince) All I’ve known for three hundred years is fighting, killing…blood. Now I’m in an unfamiliar body, with out-of-control emotions and an appetite for flat, deep fried potatoes. I’m so. Damn. Lost.
Me: (whispering) Are you scared?
Sinéad: (drops her arms and stares at me) I’ve never been afraid. Never feared dying. I still don’t. But I am terrified of every morning when the sun rises and it’s another day in this skin. Another day when I can feel my soul screaming…
As she trails off an uncomfortable silence fills the room. She’s probably horrified at the display of emotion, and I… Well I just don’t know what to say. Hallmark doesn’t have a card for “I’m sorry your life just went to hell in gasoline drawers. Thinking of you!” Yeah. Words are pretty much inadequate. Really there’s only one thing I can give her…
Me: Your secret’s safe with me. I won’t tell anyone.
Sinéad: (her eyes narrowing) A chronicler? Not telling a story?
Me: (shaking my head) Not this one. It’s yours to tell.
There’s a slight softening on her face that I would have never thought I’d see on one of these Black Angels.
Sinéad: (bows her head) Thank you then.
Me: No problem. I’m going to, uh, y’know, go. Leave you to your (I do a finger crinkle at her snack buffet and television marathon) whatever.
I turn around to leave, but damn… I just have to ask. I have to!
Me: One thing. (she arches an eyebrow) Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? (My eyes widen as she slowly reaches for the sword behind her back) Gotcha. Nunya, right? Nunya bizness. Okay. See you, um, well. Yeah. See you.
I rush out of the room and the house as quick as my boots can slap the floor. Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I need a drink.

EXCERPT
The girlhood crush had never quite vanished, but this almost painful need was too much to bear. She could smell his cologne, the scent light and subtle, but wholly masculine. It made her want to rub against him like a cat, just so she could smell his scent on her.
While he stared down at her hand, applying the small bandage, she stared at his face, noting the dark shadows beneath his eyes. They told the truth of how difficult it was for him. It wasn’t just that he and Thomas were family. Thomas had been his mentor, his friend, and the only father he’d ever known. Vincent respected and admired him, but more than that, he needed him.
“You look tired, Vincent.”
He quirked an eyebrow, his expression sardonic. “So I hear.”
It had slipped out, an admission that she shouldn’t have made. Acknowledging to anyone how frequently Vincent crossed her mind or how often she studied his face was dangerous.
When he looked up at her, their gazes locked and Ophelia’s breath simply froze. Her lungs seized and she could do nothing but stare into his coal-black eyes and pray that everything she felt for him wasn’t written all over her face.
It was only when he drew her hand up and placed it against his chest, directly over his racing heart that she realized he’d even still been holding it. The firmness of muscle and the springy mat of chest hair beneath the cotton of his shirt was too much temptation to resist. She caressed that muscle lightly and watched as his eyes blazed with lust.
His expression changed to something she could only describe as carnal, predatory even. He stepped closer to her, backing her against the island.
She let out a sigh, savoring the sensation of his closeness, of the heat from his body scorching her.
His mouth was only inches from her and the anticipation of waiting for the kiss that seemed so inevitable was agonizing. “Tell me to stop,” he demanded.
“You shouldn’t,” she whispered, unable to find her voice.
“I shouldn’t stop or I shouldn’t kiss you, Ophelia? Which is it?”
She knew the right answer, the answer she ought to give. Instead, she sank against him, savoring the heat, the hard planes of his body against hers. Her eyes closed softly as she raised her lips to his.
The heat between them sparked, flared, then raged out of control. She might have initiated that first tentative touch of their lips, but he quickly seized the reins.
His lips were firm as they settled over hers, demanding. When his teeth scraped her bottom lip, nipping roughly and then soothing with his tongue, she couldn’t hold back the low moan. Each gentle tug and pull as he sucked at her lips, the sensual glide of his tongue against hers as he swept it into her mouth was overwhelmingly intense.
It was as if he’d peered inside her and knew what she wanted even before he she did. Heat suffused her, spreading throughout her body. He tasted of bourbon and the spice that was simply him. Sliding her hands up and over the breadth of his shoulders, she clasped her hands behind his neck, bringing them even closer.
His hands moved over her back, down to her hips, pressing against her.

Can they find Bethany’s sister before she’s sold?
A Siren Erotic Romance
Excerpt:
Clarin tried not to show how excited she was. Her core was creaming. Her nipples had hardened long ago. “Take off your panties.” Clarin held her breath, taking in the sight of Bethany bending over, pulling the white fabric down, and stepping from them. “Stand.” Bethany spread her legs, and Clarin nearly keeled over from yearning. There Bethany was, so totally naked, vulnerable, and looking like a freaking Goddess. She was beautiful. Beyond that no word could describe Bethany. She had a small landing strip of blonde hair and two pouty lower lips. It looked like they were wet. Was she excited by the training? Clarin dragged her hand down Bethany’s torso, stopping to circle her belly button. Her hand eased between Bethany’s legs. Clarin clenched her own thighs as her fingertips touched Bethany’s flesh. The virgin was indeed wet. Clarin slipped a finger into Bethany’s slit and eased a single finger inside her core. Delightful. Clarin pulled her finger out and brought it to her lips. “Clean it.”
Bethany opened her eyes, glanced at the finger, and then proceeded to lick Clarin’s finger. She hadn’t hesitated much. “Good. No waiting, no taking a breath. When an order is given, you obey.”
Bethany nodded and licked her bottom lip.
“Did you like the taste of yourself?”
She nodded slowly.
Clarin took the whip and placed the end against her nipple. One little flick of her wrist and the bright whip rasped across Bethany’s nipple. She cried out, although she didn’t back away. Clarin did the same to her other nipple, and this time she groaned. “Sit on the box.”
Bethany hurried to abide.
“Arms under breasts, legs spread wide, and ass on the edge.” As Clarin gave instructions, Bethany adjusted her position, and when she was done, she looked perfect. “Well, well. Don’t you look like a well-trained slave.” Clarin walked up to Bethany, flicking her hard nipple and caressing her cheek. Bethany was creaming. Clarin could see the moisture seep from between her legs, and it made her own core clench. Clarin took the whip to her thigh, quick and hard.
Bethany jerked, her lips parted to gasp, but she did not make a single sound.
“Excellent.” Clarin stroked her thigh, and her hand slid lower. She couldn’t seem to resist those pretty nether lips. Bethany’s eyes were wide, watching as Clarin pushed her finger inside. She jerked slightly when Clarin added another finger. Two digits piercing Bethany’s core. What Clarin wouldn’t give to have her tongue there, but a master did not please a slave. Such thoughts and actions would blow their cover on the mission. Clarin stood straight, pulled her shirt off, and revealed her breasts. They were about the same size as Bethany’s but slightly tanner. Clarin did have artificial sun on the ship. “I want you to suck my nipple.”
Bethany leaned forward, and without hesitation, she took the hard peak into her mouth.
Oh. My. Clarin couldn’t think as Bethany began to handle the sensitive skin. She started out timid, light, and then she began to suckle Clarin’s nipple in earnest. It felt wonderful, and Clarin closed her eyes to enjoy the sensation. “The other one.” Bethany switched, giving her breasts gratification and her body a boost in lust. Clarin opened her eyes to look at Bethany. The whip cracked down on her shoulder, and she cried out against Clarin’s nipple, but she continued sucking. Clarin took the sting to her thigh, right across the meaty part, and Bethany hissed out a breath. Clarin pulled away, her nipple tightening at the sudden lack of warmth. Her shoes were toed off instantly, and Clarin unbelted her pants. She used the whip again. First across Bethany’s torso then her breasts and finally her thighs. Each strike made Bethany jerk, and she seemed to cream more. Perhaps she was meant to be a submissive. Bethany sure as hell was good at it.
Clarin pulled her pants down, shrugging out of them until all she wore was a pair of black panties and a whip. This time Clarin moved closer, spread her legs slightly. “Lick me.”
